I would like to start streaming on Twitch while playing and I'm thinking about the Blue Yeti as a professional microphone, what are your thoughts on this? Is it worth the money or is it overhyped?

Or would it be better to buy good quality headphones with a microphone? I'd appreciate any ideas Smile

I like to use a separate mic and headset, but it's really just a personal preference. I like different styles of each and find it difficult to find a perfect match in one headset.

I'm not a Twitch streamer, but I broadcast things regularly for my music class. The Blue Yeti used to be my go-to choice, but I've recently switched to the Shure MV7 because it seems to do better with background noise. I have a busy household with kids and pets, so dealing with background noise is a must for me, unfortunately. Don't hesitate to go with the Blue Yeti, though. It produces crisp audio, and it's a quality microphone at a decent price. It's also durable. I must've knocked the mic off my desk a million times, yet it still performed well.

My oldest son is a Twitch streamer. He mostly streams himself playing Call of Duty and Fortnite. I believe he switches between a Blue Yeti Nano and a Shure SM58. I'll warn you, though, that creating a decent stream is a learning curve. The best mic in the world won't help you if you have slow internet speeds and glitchy software.

Personally, I've been using the FIFINE A6T for almost three years. It has a very nice sound quality; better than some other microphones that I've seen. Although, the build and sturdiness of the stand isn't terrible, but it's not the best. I still recommend checking it out.

Blue Yetis are decent.  There are a lot of great models out there that will fit the bill.  I suggest you try different versions to see which works best for you.

Yeah, I agree with you that the Blue Yeti is becoming a popular mic for streamers.

Our youngest brother who stays with me uses it for his relationship podcast shows and he's got no complaints so far. The sound quality is excellent and good for beginners.

The mic's ability to pick up every little noise around makes it a great choice for streamers who have their room setup in order.
