"It's cool that The Beatles still get so much attention." I sort of think that there is not enough new stuff of merit that would last that long. I may have a rose colored view, but it seems that the 60-70s and some 80s were the mayday of recorded music. Vintage classical music and show tunes excepted.

AI should be kept as a niche product for niche purposes, but I'm afraid it's already a runaway train.

I never was a huge Beatles fan and this song isn't going to change my mind.

I watched this last night on PBS. Deconstructing The Beatles. A Trip Through Strawberry Fields. Very nice small documentary.

All the takes they did, the instruments used, like the Mellotron and the final splicing of two versions with different tempos that John wanted for the final cut. That George Martin exclaimed was impossible but John said he had faith he could. And he and his engineer partner did. Today would be easily done with digital recording but then it was literally cutting audio tape and matching the point in the song seamlessly.

Yeah, I get what you mean. The song sounds nice, but it really does feel a bit unfinished, like it’s missing that last spark. And the AI part in the music and video is kind of strange to me too. I like seeing real people actually make things, like in The Beatles Get Back, where you can watch them mess around and slowly turn little ideas into a full song.

AI music can be cool because it can do things really fast, but sometimes it feels like it doesn’t have much emotion behind it. I’m not totally against it, but I don’t think it hits the same way as something a real band creates.
