Wow, that’s really interesting! I’ve never actually measured a cartridge myself, but it makes sense that all those little details like the stylus type and load resistance could change the sound over time. I’d probably go with the test record method since it sounds a lot easier and way more affordable than using an accelerometer. I always just kinda assumed manufacturers kept things balanced too, but now I’m curious how much difference an aftermarket stylus really makes.
