After so many years I decided to clean it. Wow, better air flow.

LOL! What prompted you to say that? And which device had the clogged fan?

I have a Vornado fan that needed cleaning, full of dust. I don't have an air conditioner. Next up to clean is the ceiling fan in the living room.

I see, gotcha. Yeah, I clean all our HVAC filters quarterly.

Hi, yes indeed. Our fans collect dust at an alarming rate. Once a year I end up cleaning them all. The heat pump filter gets replaced every 6 months as well. It amazes me how much dust gets into a closed up house. Out H-P works better if you never open the windows. The humidity and air temp is much better regulated and energy use is minimal if the inside and outside temps are nearly the same. That is about 1/2 the year. I have also found that many of the fans with "lifetime" lubrication are stretching it a bit. Whose lifetime? A gerbil maybe. Shocked They have to be disassembled and lubed about every two years.

Good Listening

Appreciate the reminder! It's almost time to turn on the old ceiling fan at work, and I'm sure the blades are overdue for a dusting.

I missed cleaning the fan every Saturdays. We have two standing fan and one also up the ceiling, I was made to clean two standing fans every weekend. The one in the living room and the other at our room and I was doing the work diligently while my dad took over the ceiling fan.
I'm too busy all time that I can't remember the last time that I clean the fans.
