Sound familiar? A new book by Dr Luke Kemp at the Centre for the Study of Existential Risk at the University of Cambridge studied 400 cultures over 5000 years showing the history and future of societal collapse.

It sounds very familiar to our culture right now and the people who lead it. As the professor says. He is pessimistic about the future but optimistic about people.

This article from Aljazeera speaks volumes for what our China policy is truly all about. It's sour grapes. Our whiny corporate monopolists aren't getting their cake and ice cream in the huge serving they used to when China was developing they're industry and manufacturing with very cheap labor.

Which goes to show that a strong government that has the principles of their people's welfare in mind over the enrichment of a few of them that bribe politicians for personal gain is a superior method of governance. Over time with social welfare for their people, the Chinese have been able to actually increase the personal incomes of their workforce while becoming even more productive. Keeping the cost of living well within what constitutes a middle class way of life for millions of Chinese working class.

Our cost of living through monopolization and privatization has risen so high that even with wage increases several times what Chinese make still can't cope with the rising tide of inflation. The idiot tariffs will start kicking in soon to further erode working people being able to "cope".

But our elitist few aren't happy so they whine to the political hacks to do something already. So, what is our method of modus operandi? Antagonism, threats, tariffs, saber rattling, subversion and anything but cooperation. You get more bees with honey. Our brain trust is too arrogant to figure that one.

Watch-read-and learn. We've all been suckers to what the politicians, pundits and the people they trot out to talk about the economy. Our neoliberal mindset is rigidly affixed to a false doctrine of how our government can run the nations business. Kept there by our wealthy elitists and a brain washed system of higher education.

Follow the history deep into human culture and a pattern emerges from how the concentration of wealth worms its way into the political spectrum to further their longevity generationally to stay wealthy and in control. Empires erode from it. Greece and Roman. Contemporary United States?

Brief periods emerge where they're tamped down some and regular society can claw their way back up to a civilized life of thriving. Like the Gilded Age post period where anti-trust laws broke up monopolies. Or like the post WW2 years were till the 1980's when trickle-down, neoliberal, financialized economics solidified into where we're at now.

Here the 2nd part of Ben Norton's Geopolitical Economic Report with economist Michael Hudson gives a prescription for the global south formerly colonized countries of the BRICS coalition and even our own if the veil of ignorance is ever lifted from or forced upon the purveyors of governmental policy. To change the way our government and the way business is run. Efficiently for most of us, not at the expense of us for a sliver of the population. You can't demand change if you don't try to understand what has been done to us. To see, there really is an alternative.
