Remember the Oceangate submersible that imploded two years ago while going down to view the Titanic? Well, the USCG just released a short video of Stockton Rush's wife in the support sub listening to what sounded like a door shutting. It's kind of eerie to watch that and listen to her reaction.

The end of the article has information on where to actually see the implosion. It's on the 27th.

I heard they cut corners during the manufacture of the "pod". People tend to forget that the deeper you get, the more unforgiving the ocean is, and the more truth there is to the fact that we are not the top of the food chain down there. Not even close.

I've read the wrong materials itself were chosen to begin with for this craft. Laminated carbon fiber. It eventually "delaminated" real quick on its last dive.
