let's try and understand something. Israel was created by some empathy to the holocaust by the British & American's as a colonialist nation that like the US and Australia had initially European settlers come in but in no time start displacing the much greater population of Arabs indigenous to the area. And like the US and Australia the indigenous population have been marginalized to the point of apartheid and now genocide for the ethnic purity desire of the mostly European heritage Jewish government and population.
The US has kept a hands off attitude with the Israeli government and let them run their country anyway they saw fit. Including running a budget for their military. All for having a ally in the region for our own military presence. The large population of Jewish faith people in the US have put together also a powerful political organization influencing American lawmakers allegiance. Making any politician taking a stand critical of Israel's government a pariah considered to be anti-Semitic and subject to a campaign against them.
Many of the Arab nations of that region are complacent with what Israel has done over the years to the Palestinians as they have leaders that are both autocratic and dictatorial and in the pocket of American financial interests. But a few such as Iran and little Yemen have shown empathy for their Arab brother & sister Palestinians. Vilified both by Israel of course and the US who tolerates Israel's actions without any moral conscience due to our overriding national security myths governing our lack of virtue. And the Jewish lobby at home keeps any misfit politician at bay.
Yemen whom the US has contracted the Saudi Government for years to attack with aerial bombardment has commenced itself bombing Yemen now for the sake of the corrupt Israeli government due to the Houthi groups of Yemen firing on ships supplying Israel before and now since the ceasefire and the renewed starvation and bombing of Palestinians commenced again. They had stopped during the ceasefire. Which really was a fraud since Israel had broken their end by selectively killing Palestinians throughout the ceasefire.
The Trump administration is rattling war sabers against Iran now again. Tensions are building again in the region.
But its another prime example of the American covert and overt empire expression of false two faced democracy. We're a war mongering and declining empire that our finance capitalism has ruined. We may well end up isolated to ourselves as being unfit to trade or have relations due to our low moral turpitude. Or now with an unhinged leadership create nuclear Armageddon striking out against those whom we feel defies our right to rule anyway we see fit in this world.
