That Putin was instrumental in initiating a house cleaning to the mess created by Yeltsin during his administration. No less though than what our own impetus had been to support the "big buyoff of Russia's resources". As one journalist expressed as the US being the willing "fence" for the Russian oligarchy's looting of natural resources.

Our policy towards Russia has always been to degrade their government one way or the other. To weaken Russia and if possible to break up Russia into small ununified pieces with no military threat to what our Warhawk Pentagon planners obsess over.

Your ire towards Putin might be more evenly placed on his predecessor Yeltsin.

This thread Empire is directed at what our own government historically and currently pursues unabashedly in this world that is of no positive good to the promotion of peace and goodwill. Wealth plays a large part in history to the downfall of empires. Right now that seems more evident than ever before in our country that the one percent of our society is whom our government is aligned with.
