I suspect that there might be some software out there that would do exactly what you want but I don't know of any. Anyone out there with some ideas on what seems a very worthy project?
It's a very sweet idea, leot55. You could use something like WavePad or Sonic Visualiser to create your artwork. Or, how do you feel about buying your gift, instead of making it yourself?
