Wayne,

Is the 8Pi performance data available? I have not been able to locate it.
Also, what is the optimum placement of the 8Pi speakers and listener?

Optimum placement for the eight Pi loudspeaker is just like for the constant-directivity cornerhorns: In corners that are unobstructed for six feet and that allow the forward axes to cross in front of the listening area. Second best placement is just like three Pi and four Pi loudspeakers: Not in corners but still having the forward axes cross in front of the listeners.

The only data I have for the eight Pi loudspeaker is what I gathered during development, which is why it isn't posted. I've been meaning to drag one outside with my LMS system for measurements to publish, but just haven't.

I can tell you this though: Most of the audio range looks a lot like a six Pi or seven Pi from about 300Hz up. Below that, it's a lot like a two Pi tower. The main constraint is that it is limited to about 110dB at one meter.
