People invent new speakers every day, but have you ever wished you kept your older speakers? I visited a cousin recently and had fun with his twenty-year-old Yamaha NS-2000! I know it depends on setups, but that's still amazing. I was envious (but also happy for him).

Lots of folks I know love their vintage speakers. Some have really stood the test of time as classic designs. I'm most familiar with high-efficiency offerings from Klipsch, JBL and Altec. But there are classic designs of every other type that are also worthy of mention.

I remember a record store that used those Yamaha NS 2000's they'd demo records on. Really nice sounding speakers I recall. Highly sought after today.

Hi, I have a pair of Altec Lansing "Magnificents" (all 7cubic feet each) that I use regularly. An entirely different sound than the Martin Logan ESLs. Both are great in their own ways.

Good Listening
