Thought I'd revive this thread as the venerable 'record player' has, is and will be my mainstay till I'm reduced to chunks of powder. Or made into Soylent Green.

I had a hard time acquiring this album because there are predatory vendors on the internet that take your money and play a waiting game with you. Don't shop Merchbar. They're ethically bankrupt. Took awhile creating a 'case' with Paypal to obtain a refund.

Anyway, warning stated. I've loosely followed the career of Ry Cooder for some time. Seen him perform. I found out about this album just by clicking on a Youtube like I do at times and was taken with an album he did around the turn of the century with a Cuban artist Manuel Galban. A blend of Cuban jazz and latin standards that is really a fun album to listen to. The wait was well worth it.
