Read the reviews. A lot of blood, sweat, and tears went into this project.

It's a decent show with good actors and a complicated storyline. I especially like Anna Sawai's character, Lady Mariko. Do you think there'll be a second season?

Shogun had a very very long gestation period. In 2013 Shogun was a Fox project and in 2018 FX ordered 10 episodes of Shogun.

I really like the cast, especially Hiroyuki Sanada (Toranaga).

Has anyone seen the original 1980 miniseries? I'm curious how this new version compares so far.

I heard so many good things about this show. I haven't seen it yet, but I'm really looking forward to watching it. The cast looks promising too.

Almost caught up with the episodes. I like that you get to know who you think are "only" minor characters. Without giving anything away... yikes, Nagakado.

The one person I know who read the book and saw the 1980 series said that this new version gives less attention to the relationship to between Blackthorn and Mariko.

Just saw the second to last episode. Hoping the actress who's Mariko gets all prizes this/next year. This show has to win something, anything.

I wonder how the next seasons will play out, considering that the series covered the book already. Maybe the writers will come up with origin stories or character back stories?
