I ordered this table radio from Amazon for $39.99. I like to listen to AM talk radio and sports. You get fair sound at a cheap price. Just don't compare table radio to your hifi system. AM is not that good anyway.

Here is a hyperbole review, take with a grain of salt.

However, for the money I do like this radio and hope it can last more than 5 years.

Hey gofar99 can you make a cheap am no fm radio?

Hi, No. I get my radios from the same places as everyone else. I have serviced and repaired several, but find the building of one not worth the trouble. At one time I have done amateur transmitters, repaired TVs, and put together PCs. It was kind of fun back then finding the mistakes that were in reference guides and books. I suppose then like now a lot of people think they know what they are doing but really don't understand it. There are a number of good AM radios..but not for the amount you paid. Decent new ones seem to start about $125.

Good Listening
