I'll give you the same solution I apply to using candles on my Christmas Tree. Sober, vigilant adults.

Cubs mobile enough to do damage should never be allowed out of sight for any significant time period in the first place. There is no way to 'xxx-proof' anything. Cars, amps, power sockets.
