Hi, yes indeed. Our fans collect dust at an alarming rate. Once a year I end up cleaning them all. The heat pump filter gets replaced every 6 months as well. It amazes me how much dust gets into a closed up house. Out H-P works better if you never open the windows. The humidity and air temp is much better regulated and energy use is minimal if the inside and outside temps are nearly the same. That is about 1/2 the year. I have also found that many of the fans with "lifetime" lubrication are stretching it a bit. Whose lifetime? A gerbil maybe. They have to be disassembled and lubed about every two years.
