That sounds like a great experience Wayne!
I especially liked the part about seeing the guitarist catch the drummers stick and throw it back in time to keep the beat! More so that you were seeing that instead of the headline (Springfield).
I often do exactly that sort of thing, my interest lie in all the parts of the big picture not just the front and center stuff.
Like "seeing outside the box" lol.
Later on when it's all over, mention things like this to reminisce and they are like "what? I didn't see that!"
When you first mentioned the groups and the timelines of their popularity, for some reason I remembered Billy Squire...he then made a music video that basically ended his career!
