Going to make external xovers for my Pi7.

Bought the xovers from you, just need to put Them in boxes and put connectors on them and the speakers.

I want to use speakons, but im not well versed in speakons, which version or versions to use for a good setup? Pictures and advice would be much appriciated.

Hi Bent,

What's the actual confusion and question? I've used these without issues.
Do you want just plus/minus coming into the crossover, and plus/minus for
each of the drivers on the way out?

Thx for replying !

Hmm, 1 in 3 out, i would prefer it to be as idiot proof as possible, meaning impossible to connect bass or mid to high so on so forth.

In: 1 piece nl2 or nl4

Out from xover
One nl8 with 3 seperate 2 strand cables in them.
Or seperate nl2 and two nl4's each with One driver cable in it.
Or 1 nl4 for high and mid and a nl8 for low.
Or 1nl2 for treble and 1 nl4 for mid and low.

Going into High:nl2 mid nl4 low nl4.

Or something completely different lol.

I just know very Little about the pros and cons of the different versions, so thought it would be a good idea to ask those less confused Embarassed Embarassed

My personal opinion; but it seems the minimum spec in terms of
connections is labeling. My point is that you can use whatever
connectors your like on the outputs and label them appropriately
and you'll be no worse off than a regular consumer AV receiver.

I think a variety of speakons still leaves room for incorrect
connections, but I haven't studied if some collection would
accomplish your one goal.

The only sure-fire way to prevent incorrect connections are a variety
of connectors, like 1/4" phone for one, speakon for another, and
banana for the other. Can't mix those up, and all are certainly
viable for speaker connectors.
