I just heard about Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett! Impressive to say the least.
Yeah, their work and friendship are just gold. I have more respect for Lady Gaga after seeing her interview with Oprah last year, I think. Her works suddenly felt more meaningful after hearing about the stories of her hardships.

Yeah, I always thought Lady Gaga was a total freak until I saw her duet with Tony Bennett. All her crazy stunts made me think she was a talent-less attention getter. There are a lot of those in the music business - always have been - and they usually use antics just like Lady Gaga did to get attention, often to compensate for lack of talent.

But I think in this case, Stefani Germanotta - Gaga's real name - actually developed some talent over the years or she always had it and I didn't notice 'cause I resist being drawn to controversy and attention-seeking stunts. She's a beautiful singer with attention-getting charisma. No need at all for the flamboyant costumes. I also thought she did a good job in the remake of the movie, "A Star is Born," so she may develop an acting career too.

Now I kinda like her. But I do wish she always wore classy clothes and stopped trying to do stunts. I personally prefer her when she is dressed nicely and acting demure. A little orneriness is wonderful, but goofy stunts really detract by distracting her audience away from her talents.

What! You didn't like her gown made of raw beef! I'm with you on her antics. Very tedious obvious attention stunts. But the goil can sing too. I'll give her that.

I was watching this performance by Alison Krauss & Jimmy Page from their new album on the CBS Saturday Morning show. This is a nice song with some get that has a bit of rock-a-billy twang going on. They make a fine duet.

The duets by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong are sublime. Two of the greatest talents of their generation. Any generation.

I believe there are two albums of them singing together.
