Radio has transitioned over time and listeners now have the option of listening to what they want to, be it music, news or the latest trends in entertainment. I tune in it to listen to music because it is now easier to get updated on current events, through the internet.

Music all the way. My second choice would be sports! I never listen to the news on the radio. I read it online or watch a newscast on TV. When I'm in the car, I want music!

I still like checking out what local stations are up to while I drive. I don't hear much news, except for what happens to pop up on public radio stations. Reception in my area's shaky.

Mentioned this elsewhere, but I enjoy finding out what the college stations around me are broadcasting. I also like doing a run-through of stations when I travel to different states.

I do both. I listen to the news on the radio but I also listen to music. It just depends on my mood. I hardly ever listen to local stations. I'm either listening to Pandora or Sirius.

Interesting, college stations. That is something I would never have thought of. What do they broadcast? I can't say that I ever listened to one before.
I listen to music.

Depends on the DJ, but the college stations around here go out of their way to play non-Billboard tracks. Some of the programming can be really specific, like only Irish music on Sunday mornings. Local news reports get broadcast, too.

I mostly listen to it for the news but whichever plays is fine with me. I find it nice listening to it in the morning and seeing what's up with the world.

I listen to the radio for its music because the radio hosts are entertaining too. As for the news, I prefer the television since it gives me a better illustration of what's happening. I wouldn't understand it as much if I only listened to it from the radio.

I don't listen to the radio much because other sources supply my music. Alerts from my phone and chatting with people are all the news I get. The walkman radio used to be good when I still fancied carrying things around, but nowadays I want to go undistracted.
