Sorry, but I don't have designs that use the JBL 2226J. A few people have scaled the crossover components to use 16Ω drivers - and that might work - but I haven't validated it with acoustic measurements. To do this mod requires doubling the coil values and halving the capacitors and the Zobel resistor. You also need to reduce the tweeter by 3dB, so the R1/R2 values must be changed.

To be honest, though, I'd prefer 8Ω speakers run on the 8Ω tap. An SET 300B has plenty of power for the four Pi, and yet that extra few decibels of voltage sensitivity from the 8Ω load is useful.

So if you don't already have 2226J drivers, get a pair of 2226H and a pair of DE250-8 drivers and build the four Pi speaker as designed. You'll be very pleased with them on a 300B SET amp.
