I've been shopping around for a guitar amp recently. I play in a band and my current amp isn't powerful enough to be heard over our drummer. How many watts do you typically need for a tube amp to be heard over other instruments?
What size are the venues you typically play in? If they're on the smaller side, I would think you'd be good with 40-60 watts. You would probably have to go higher for larger venues though.

And if you are playing in pubs or similarly small places you may even have to go less than 30 watts, unless you really want to blast the place with sound!
I notice Fender do some quite good amps, and you can pick them up second hand.
If you like your current amp, can you overcome the issue by mic'ing into the PA and monitors? Other options are more efficient speakers (or more speakers), again, if you like the amp you have. Otherwise, it's a wide open world of choices.
Good luck either way.

While that might be amusing to see, most clubs are going to see the equipment before the band goes on. If you can afford amps that will shake the foundation of a bar, you'll be playing in larger venues.
