I started out pretty young. My problem was finances, wanting better sound than my budget would allow. So I studied and made my own loudspeakers. Later as finances permitted, I could take on more ambitious projects.
It had to be when I was around 16 years old. I bought my first system a year earlier and made do with that. It didn't take long to realize that I could like my favorite music better with the types of systems my friends had, so I saved up and leveled up.
