Which artists sound just as good in concert as they do on their commercially produced music? Adele is one that comes to mind. I don't think anyone would argue with her vocal capabilities. Another seriously talented vocalist is Amy Lee from Evanescence. Her haunting vocals are spellbinding in concert.
Aerosmith started in the 70s, I think, and Steven Tyler still has it.

Start at the 5:25 mark to hear Steven Tyler hit those high notes. He's what? 66 or something there? Supposedly, your vocals weaken with age, but he still sounds amazing.
Another amazing vocalist is Miley Cyrus. She doesn't need to twerk. I don't get why she went that route when she's as talented as she is.

I got to see Mavis Staples a couple years back. The highlight for me besides her signature song going back to the 60's, I'll Take You There, was a cover of The Talking Heads, Slippery People. Apart from having a killer band and backup singers. That old gal can still belt out some soul. Whew! She's 80 now and still touring.
Adele is a great musician on stage, and so are John Legend, Bruno Mars, Alicia Keys, and Pink. On the other hand, there are many more who can't do much without auto-tune. How many musicians out here can play at least one instrument?
