I'm looking to purchase a new television and longevity matters a great deal to me. I'd rather pay more up front and not have to deal with any problems down the road. I've been researching and unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a consensus as to how long a plasma television should last. I mean there's a vast difference between 54 years as mentioned on CNET and three years as mentioned on The Balance. How long do you think a plasma television will really last? I'm wondering if it would be wiser to buy a different type altogether.
