Hi, You don't need to buy a program. There are many free ones. I like Audacity. It is a very comprehensive program. If you can find a copy, an older program called CDex is a simple one that will give good results (BTW these are Windows programs). In any case you will almost certainly have to install a program. But when done you can uninstall it easily. Some PCs have programs that are part of their sound system and might do the job for you as well.
