Hi all. I recently put in another car radio in my Golf 5, but every time I want to use it, I need to manually turn it on. My previous one would turn on when I started my car and turn off when I turned my car off (key out the ignition). I just can't figure out why this is, I've connected all the wires. Has anyone had this problem before and do you have tips on what it could be?

What kind of radio are you using? I know that some are designed to work that way. I've seen that a lot of people have this issue when using aftermarket radios with VWs. It might be worth having a professional check it out. I'm sorry, I wish I could help you out more!
