The porch I have is not enclosed and I live in a semi-rural area. Would you put your speakers on the concrete flooring, or buy smaller ones that you can attach to the corners of the "ceiling"?

Personally, I think I would go with speakers that you can attach to the walls rather than in the ground. I remember reading somewhere that you shouldn't put speakers in corners, but I don't know if that's the case in rooms that aren't enclosed.

I am leaning that way. There seems to be something unproductive about putting speakers on concrete. I like the idea of sound beginning up in the air when you're outside.
I agree, it does seem counterproductive to put them in the ground. I think speakes should always be as close to the level of our ears as possible. How high are your walls?
I agree, Kingfisher. Your sound should be up in the air and that can be difficult when you're putting the speakers on the ground. Do your speakers have some vertical directivity controls?
