Is it a good idea to fuse my speakers? I read somewhere that some people do this, but I'm wondering if that wouldn't the damage speakers somehow. If it does, then what's the alternative?

You can fuse speakers but its ability to provide useful protection is limited. For one thing, the the time/thermal properties of the fuse are different than that of the speaker. And for another thing, the current ratings available aren't usually what you need. So both of these problems make it hard to get the right size. One standard size will be too small and the next standard size up is too large. That makes fuses generally inconvenient to use for speakers.

Just picturing that process in my head tells me it wouldn't be a good idea. They weren't designed for that. If you want a fuller sound, upgrade what you currently have to a brand that produces more and better sound.

I suppose you're both right. When you explain it like that, then it's obvious that there's too much risk for very little benefits. Thanks for the replies.
