Can you believe it's already 2018?
So it's time to start getting ready for the Lone Star AudioFest! It's always the first weekend in May, so mark your calendar for May 4th, 5th and 6th.
The registration link is online, so you can reserve your room now:
This year we're having seminars. We've done that several years in past, and it is always informative and popular. But we haven't had seminars for the past couple of years, so I thought I'd mention it. The link below shows the schedule for the show, including a list of seminars and the times for each. Check back periodically for additions and updates:
So far, we have three speakers lined up - Scott Shaeffer, Steven Solazzo and me. Steven is giving a talk on digital audio, Scott is giving a talk on system setup and I'm giving a talk on loudspeaker crossovers. My talk is sort of an introduction to electronics, so if you don't fully understand capacitors, inductors, resonance and damping, this will probably be very useful for you. I call it "Crossover Electronics 101" and handouts for the talk are available at the link below:
I'm not sure what loudspeaker system I'll be bringing yet, but it will either be three π or four π mains with flanking subs:
three π mains on stands with flanking subs
four π mains on stands with flanking subs
