Does anyone here know what the best way to select the correct wire gauge for my speakers is? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Under 10 feet, use at least 20 guage pure copper stranded speaker wire.
Under 25 feet, use at least 18 guage pure copper stranded speaker wire.
Under 50 feet, use at least 16 guage pure copper stranded speaker wire.
Under 75 feet, use at least 14 guage pure copper stranded speaker wire.
Don't run wire over 100 feet.

That's something I was wondering about as well, and I was curious to know the answer. Why isn't it advisable to go over 100 feet?
