What exactly are preamp RCA outputs, and are they the same thing as subwoofer preamp RCA outputs or are the two different things?

They're the same thing physically and electrically, although the subwoofer signal is low-passed. The signal going to all the rest of the components covers the full audio bandwidth but the sub signal is only the bass.
