So now that the year is coming to a close, it seems like a good time to start talking about what's been the best this year. There's already a topic about the best soundtrack of '17, so what about the best single? Album? Movie?
I dig this topic. Love discussing movies and music. I don't have a clear favorite in the music category, so I'm adding a "worst" category instead.
Best movie - Wonder Woman The acting was amazing and it was refreshing to see a genuine heroine for once.
Worst movie - Mother. The level of violence was ridiculous, especially devouring an infant.
Haha, I've definitely heard a lot of complaints about mother!. It wasn't one of my favorites either but I thought the score was interesting, for better or worse. Definitely not a movie I want to see again though! Unlike Wonder Woman which was fantastic.
I know exactly what you mean guys. The movie Mother is one that I wish I hadn't seen in the first place. My favorites were Fantastic beasts and Suicide Squad.
To be honest I wouldn't be able to choose between any of the great movies I've seen this year but Wonder Woman and Fantastic Beasts are in the top ten.

Fantastic Beasts was last year, wasn't it? I could be wrong. A great movie either way! It looks like Wonder Woman is the winner so far. And Mother is the loser.
You are right about Fantastic Beasts being from last year. I guess I haven't been keeping up with new movies as much as I used to.
I am exactly the same way. Sometimes I think I'm being really on top of things and then realize all the "new" things I'm talking about happened way longer ago than I think.
That's what comes with getting older. It isn't just wisdom that you get, it's also forgetfulness! Anyway, there is so much to look forward to this year when it comes to movies. I just can't wait!
My favorite topic! I love movies, and I'm usually first in line to see action, thriller or sci-fi movies. There were so many great movies this past year, but my favorites were Wonder Woman, Star Wars, and Lady Bird!
