Anything that makes noise has an audio component to it. This includes the wind. So, what is the best way to capture that sound for the truest reproduction for recording purposes?

Kingfish, are you talking about the wind noise in Echoes? Apparently, the wind noise in that song was done by vibrating the strings of a bass guitar with a steel slide and then feeding the signal through an Echore. Or well, that's what Wikipedia says at least. I'm not sure what an Echore is...
