If I bought my nephew (who's a minor) a set of audio equipment in my name, would any issues arise if they developed a problem while still under warranty and I wasn't nearby? In other words, can a warranty offer be honored if the exact buyer is not the one presenting them?

If the service center can verify that the device is still under warranty, I wouldn't think they would care who presented the device to them. If they do, then maybe you'll have to contact them and explain the situation. I can't imagine it really being a problem.
