We have recently moved into a row house where we're sharing a wall for the first time. My children take music lessons and practice two or three times a week. It's amazing how loud a piano and clarinet sound when all that's blocking the noise is a single wall. We don't want to be the bad neighbors! What can I use to deaden the sound? Heavy curtains aren't enough.
I can imagine how such a thing could easily cause you trouble with the neighbors. I'm not a pro here but I think you could insulate the walls so as to contain the noise, just like the studios do. What are the walls made of?
