We are often careful to keep everything out of the children's reach when installing a home theater system. Afterwards, it is normally a different story. How would you ensure that the kids aren't able to touch anything that may cause harm?
Keep things like the remote control and any other equipment that a child can easily dismantle away from them. Kids have inquisitive minds and they love to discover stuff on their own.
