Prisoner Abuse

T. Bubba Bechtol, part time City Councilman from Pensacola, Florida, was
asked on a local live radio talk show the other day just what he thought of
the allegations of torture of the Iraqi prisoners. His reply prompted his
ejection from the studio, but to thunderous applause from the audience.

"If hooking up an Iraqi prisoner's scrotum to a car's battery cables
will save one American GI's life, then I have just two things to say:
"Red is positive, black is negative."

Sorry to sound preachy, but this by default condones the torture of American prisoners by Iraquis and any other bad guys in this not-so-civilized world. Is he really named "Bubba" or is this just a satire on redneck values?

Good Point, but "all's fair in love and war"
The news media should find new job, and
It was just kinda funny. A satire I think

How does this relate to audio, other than you heard it on the radio?

This is the GENERAL forum on AudioRoundTable.com.

The webmaster states the General forum is for:

"This is where we discuss general forum issues, and also technical and subjective matters of a general nature."

Here is the webmasters post describing what this forum is used for:

http://www.audioroundtable.com/General/messages/1.html

Clearly, the General forum doesnt have to be audio-related.

Quoted under P3, Posting Rules: "We don't mind occasional off-topic content, but if you start in on a long discussion about a controversial topic not related to audio, expect to find your posts deleted. Discussions about political matters and the state of the world may be very important, but there are other places for that."

I offer my hand and apologize to all if my prior statement was harsh and out of line. I thought my post was correct at the time given the above rule......Sincerely, Colin
