Whenever this question pops up in a discussion, I never have a 'right' answer. Over time, I have gotten accustomed to all music genres. If it sounds good to the ear, I will probably listen to it. What matters to me is quality over the genre.

Same here. I listen to just about every genre of music that there is these days. However, I definitely prefer some good alternative music, and pop music.
