My son has been nagging for a new sound system for his room but I'm worried that we will suffer from all the noise and loud music. Is there any way of installing it so that the noise is more 'contained' in his room? For instance, do wall speakers work better for this or not?

Install sound damping wedges on the walls and buy speakers that don't generate a lot of deep bass.
