I'm considering taking up my license for amateur radio operations. Does anyone know of an estimate of cost for this? Also, is it a one-time thing? Thanks in advance.

It doesn't cost that much to get your Ham Radio license. The first thing you need to do is to purchase the study materials that you need to take the test. This usually cost around $20. Then you will need another $15 for the exam. I believe then you have to renew it every year after that.

Thanks, Finn. I am interested to take up licensing for the Technician Class so that cost looks to be just about right. I'd also be adding about $200 to that number for my transceiver.
