Can anyone recommend a good movie soundtrack on CD that has slow, romantic music by various artists? Preferably something that evokes images of the movie itself.

I would look into "The Notebook" soundtrack. It's probably heavy on 40's music, but it would add a different flavor of romance. A more unique flavor.

The soundtrack to Baz Luhrmann's Romeo and Juliet is amazing, it's got a real mix of genres on it and there are hardly any bad songs on there.

I particularly love the soundtrack to Coldplay's 'Paradise'. It is consistent and evokes emotions of tranquility and peace.
