Back in the '50's and '60's......yes, they sure had them. There for awhile, the winner was crowned "Miss Guided Missile". Laughing

The ladies all worked in the Jet Propulsion Laboratories and it was a way to help build a team spirit and comradery among the women, whom all worked in pretty much the same are with roughly the same job descriptions.

Well I think that sounds kind of cute because that isn't your typical job when you think about what women did for a living back then.

That is really interesting. I've never heard of NASA having these pageants before. I could see where this would boost moral and probably make them feel like they are part of the team. Do you think if workplaces still had these today, that many people would participate?
