I need to identify an Airline radio that has phono play and record as well as short wave with broadcast and record mic. There is no identification sticker inside. I can fwd pics if some one can help. It is in working condition and the wood case has been restored.

My god, is that a cloth electrical wire? And that stylus arm......you've got a beauty of an antique right there.

It looks like something Montgomery Ward used to sell.

But sorry, I can't find that online anywhere. Maybe someone else here knows, or maybe find an antique dealer who knows this business.

Go here: http://www.wjoe.com/olguide.htm scroll down to the Airline brand, put "Airline_________"(model number)into the search bar and see what comes up.

This guy might be able to help too: http://www.antiqueradiomuseum.org/consoleradios.htm

Thanks for the reply. It is an Wards Airline Broadcast is all I know about it. It is a recorder as well as a player. It can
record from the radio or from the microphone with the cloth wrapped wire.It is also a short wave radio with broadcast capability.

That sounds like top of line capabilities for the time frame. I'm really intrigued by the shortwave capabilities. My guess is that it would only be worth about $100 on the antique market though mainly because of the Ward name.
