We've never had a streaming device before, and TBH, we know pretty much nothing about them, as none of our friends do either. We are starting to feel old! How do they work? How do you get local stations for news, and such?

Most local stations don't have streaming services, although I'm sure some do. The major networks have started setting up streaming servers, some for pay, others free.

My local news station is just implementing an app that you can download to stream the news cast and other things when you want. I think it is going to be a slow process since most networks have just finally released theirs.
