I plan for a 3 Pi subwoofer with Crown XLS 1502, to accompany my 4 Pi speakers which I listen mostly on music only.
Unfortunately there are no local dealers in Singapore; I need to import LAB 12 driver and Crown amp from US.
So the estimated cost for driver, amp, shipping & carpentry is close to USD900.

My question is does the Eminence LAB12 worth all that effort? Or shall I settle for a brand new SVS SB-2000 or REL T7 which I can purchase locally?

Thanks.

Subs aren't terribly difficult to make well. They're practicaly a commodity. I would not spend excessive amounts on a subwoofer.

It isn't that I would suggest skimping, but I also don't think you have to go overboard because subs aren't something that are terribly difficult to make properly.
