Wayne,
Could you email me the plans for the 8Pi? I already have the drivers, the assembled crossover, and the midhorn flatpack. But somehow the plans got lost in my move.

I should clarify my question. I'm asking specifically about the dimensions shown for the mid cabinet. They look like they're meant to be exterior dimensions to me. But the dimensions given for the midhorn are clearly interior dimensions. I know this because I bought your flatpack, and the dimensions shown match the inside dimensions of what I have.
So that's why I'm confused. I just want to be sure I'm building the rest of the cabinet the right size.

Yes, they're outside dimensions. Also, understand that the midhorn cabinet is made purely for aesthetics. All that it needs to do is to house the midhorn and provide rear chamber volume of at least 0.5ft3. So don't worry about exact dimensions because they're not critical.

Sorry, you're right that 0.5ft3 would be way too small. That's the minimum size for the midhorn when used on constant directivity cornerhorns as a dedicated midrange. The eight π loudspeaker uses a vented rear chamber that doubles as the bass-bin, and is much larger.
