Illuminati (2nd Degree)

Is there a tube circuit book for someone who's not quite a *complete* idiot?

Something that progressively explains how a tube is integrated into a circuit (and maybe even more importantly doesn't assume some short-hand schematic that leaves out the power supply and other "standard" bits is sufficient)?
