Has anyone noticed a change in the quality of the B&C DE250 compression driver in the recent past? A number of posts on other audio enthusiast sites have suggested a change in the source of the diaphragm (to Asian manufacture) leading to a significant decline in performance. It also seems that the newest GedLee flagship loudspeaker incorporates a different B&C compression driver. Coincidence? The DE250s in my 6Pi and 3Pi loudspeakers all measure very uniformly and are excellent performers. It would be disappointing if such a good component has taken a turn for the worse.

This discussion came up a couple years ago too. I heard some people saying there were changes, but I didn't find any. Some even said the changes were significant enough to merit a crossover change. But again, I found none.
