Wayne,

I am building a modded 4pi which will be housed in a pair of Barzilay cabinets. You did mention to me this may cause problems with midrange ripple. I'm attempting to stay within your build parameters but there will be changes due to the cabinet size being different. The internal dimensions are 24"H x 22"D x 13"D. Approximately 3.9 cubic feet. This may get smaller if I add some bracing in addition to your recommended bracing.

My question is, at what frequency are your cabinets tuned when built to spec? Also, when calculating port size, is this done solely by internal cabinet dimensions? Or does the additional bracing and drivers need to be accounted for when calculating cabinet size, port size, frequency? Hope this makes sense.

Thanks!

Look in the π Speakers FAQ, in the section called "Cabinet Design." You'll find all the answers there.
